I started practicing walking meditation many, many years ago and it has become one of my favorite ways to meditate.
Whether you call it meditation or not, I think you do a form of it in one way or another when you go for a walk as you try to clear your mind and be present to your thoughts, feelings and surroundings.
Obviously, we don’t need to be too formal about it if we don’t want to be. Getting too formal ruins a lot of things, such as good walk!
If you would like to learn more about walking meditation, there is a technique to it and I have found it to be one of the best ways for me to practice meditation, especially outdoors. “Kissing the Earth with your feet” is a good place to begin!
